Cyprus Green is a film in its earliest stages of development, stemming from a material connection to the forests of Cyprus — a connection that echoes both the natural and political histories of the island.

Shot on 16mm film and responding to the textures, rhythms, vernacular architecture, and ecosystems of Cypriot landscapes, the film explores an understanding of the world as a continuous process of embodied response and improvisation. Landscape is treated as layered and relational, shaped by constant interaction between political and cultural influences, human and nonhuman forces, personal and collective narratives.

The forests become both subject and collaborator, transmuted into a symphony of sound, pattern, and light across the myriad shades of Cyprus green.
