EINKOFI WRITER/RESEARCHER - ALDA

Natasha is a poet, translator, journalist, and editor, born in Russia and residing in Iceland since 2012. She has a BA degree in journalism and in Icelandic as a second language, with Swedish as a minor. SHE has translated Icelandic literary works into Russian, including Kviku (2019) by Þóra Hjörleifsdóttir. She edited the poetry anthology Pólífónía af erlendum uppruna (2021), featuring poets of foreign origin, and was also one of its contributors.

Her debut poetry collection, Máltaka á stríðstímum (2022), received the Tómas Guðmundsson Literary Prize in 2022 and was nominated for the Maístjarnan Award in 2023. She was the editor and co-author of the essay collection Writers adrift (2023), written by authors of foreign origin. In 2023, she received recognition from the Icelandic Language Council for promoting Icelandic as a literary language among non-native speakers. In 2025, her second poetry collection, Mara kemur í heimsókn, was published.
