A throwback to those massive inspirational Acid Trance songs of yor that really hooked me into the dance scene. This one features some profound words from Rev. Dr. Matthew Fox

I will be giving proceeds generated from this (and at least one other Fox inspired tune) to support his work and his orgainization, FCS. This sample was taken from the very first speech I saw of his in Ithaca, New York. Shortly after, I moved to Oakland to work with him and The Techno Cosmic Mass. (see "about" page to learn more)

A few years ago the acclaimed spoken word artist, Saul Williams, did his take on the very socially relevant "Pledge of Resistance" which was written for the Not In Our Name peace organization. Artists like Coldcut and Dj shadow have put it to music and here's my funked up dance spin on it.

This was my very first completed song. It's grungy and full of white noise just like the city that inpsired the author of these words, Miguel Pinero, in NYC. My old Poet friend, Jake, simply left this message on my answering machine one day. It inspired me enough to sample it and put it to music.

We Are The Future ( w/ youth from a workshop I co-lead for The UC Berkeley PCA Program) FREE Download!
The youth in the program were put into creative small group exercises in order to spontaneously create words of inspiration. Then I did some inpromtu recording with my little voice recorder of their lyrics and allowed some time for them to improv... sing, yell, or whatever off from the original themes. Then I created the track later and presented it to them at the closing of the 6 week program. It was a great and wonderful surprise for them and will hopefully be positive memorabilia and encouragement throughout their lives.

The Earth EP
I want to produce a series of electro dance tracks that could inspire awareness and empathy for our connection to the planet. This understanding can not be produced through the mind alone. It can be argued that the imperialistic, religious, and industrial eras created a seperation of the mind from the heart and the body, making them atrophy, which gave rise to much of the human destruction levied on Earth (see my masters thesis).

On a global scale, this is a challenge that should be met by a complete paradigm shift of being not just simple shifts in economic or political discourse. For thousands of years people have used dance and dance music as a vehicle to open the heart and mind to widsom. Like most things in the predominating consumerist cutlures this practice was marginalized out of daily, healthy, community life and into the corners of commercialized entertainment. We don't need any more consumption or even information and technology. What we can use now is wisdom and ways to go about finding it!

I've Seen the Days (Earth EP)
This one features my voice and 15 or so kindergardeners from my parents summer Sunday School Class telling me what they like about "this home we call earth". Here's a pic. (see if you can tell which one is me!)
